AiStudios.ca

AiStudios.ca is a Canadian cinematic studio exploring the future of human-led, AI-assisted filmmaking. Created from more than two decades of feature-film production experience through Orange Films, the studio brings traditional cinematic craftsmanship together with emerging generative technologies to create ambitious, emotionally driven and visually sophisticated films. Led by filmmakers Adrien Bodson and Marc-André Lavoie, AiStudios approaches artificial intelligence not as a replacement for filmmakers, but as a new production layer. Human-directed. AI-assisted. Cinema first. The team’s experience spans more than 20 years of technological evolution in independent filmmaking—from early HD and DSLR feature production to 4K international distribution and, today, hybrid generative production pipelines. In 2026, their AI-assisted short INTO THE UNKNOWN, created in under 48 hours, won 2nd Place at the Big Screen Hack in Cannes and the Cinema Innovation Award at the Canada China International Film Festival. AiStudios is currently developing original films and cinematic IP while collaborating internationally with creators, technology companies and industry partners to explore new approaches to: • AI-assisted feature-film production • Cinematic world-building and visual development • Hybrid live-action and generative workflows • Rapid film prototyping • International co-production and creative collaboration • New production models for independent cinema The studio’s work is guided by one principle: Expand what cinema can be—without losing what makes it human. AiStudios.ca is building toward a future in which filmmakers are no longer limited by the scale of their production infrastructure, but empowered by the strength of their ideas, their direction and their imagination.
