Part 2 of The Lost Formula. In the first chapter, an ageing alchemist lived on the edge of a world that no longer seemed to notice him. Convinced that time and age had taken away his place among others, he turned to an ancient book and discovered a forgotten formula — a potion abandoned long ago. Believing it could restore what he had lost, he chose to drink it. The potion worked. Young again and seen as someone entirely new, he entered the world with a different face and quickly discovered something he had missed for years — attention, acceptance and curiosity from others. Conversations became easier. People listened. Doors opened. For a moment, it seemed he had been right all along. But while everyone else saw a new person, one old woman kept watching him closely. And what she saw was not youth, but the same man underneath. Her words force him to face a question he never considered: if people changed around him — did he truly change at all?
