Les Bonbons
Film
Les Bonbons tells the heavy, unspoken secret of Jane, a seven-year-old girl who suffers sexual violence at the hands of a school activity leader. Through her mother's eyes, the film explores shock, silence, and the isolation of a parent facing institutions that choose to bury the truth. The story ends as the mother decides to seek justice, just when her daughter begins to collapse. This pause offers no resolution — it marks a beginning. In reality, time does not align: a parent's fight often starts when the child has already lost the strength to endure. Nothing is shown directly. Everything unfolds through silences, details, and glances. Artificial intelligence was used as a tool for distance — allowing the viewer to grasp the unbearable without ever having to see it. Written and directed by Elisabeth Guthmann. An independent AI-assisted film.
