Young Beautiful Wretch

Music Video

**YOUNG BEAUTIFUL WRETCH** is a poetic musical tragicomedy inspired by the passionate, ironic, and uncompromising poetry of Sergei Yesenin. In a world of Persian luxury, a wealthy gentleman becomes captivated by a beautiful Russian dancer who has arrived to perform abroad. What begins as a romantic encounter soon turns into a story of devotion, generosity, and misplaced trust. Moved by her troubled circumstances, he welcomes her into his life and gives her a suitcase filled with money to support her journey overseas. Before they part, he gives her a ring, believing that their love will survive the distance. Months later, he prepares to travel to her, his suitcases packed and his heart full of anticipation. But instead of a reunion, a white dove arrives carrying his ring and a brief message: *“Everything is fine with me. Thank you for everything.”* As the truth sinks in, the disappointed lover collapses into uncontrollable laughter, surrounded by the luggage he had packed for a journey that will never happen. Blending romance, dark humor, music, and cinematic imagery, the film explores the painful distance between promises and reality — and the absurdity of a heart that believed too much. Created through original artistic direction and generative AI, the film offers a contemporary visual interpretation of Yesenin's emotional world.
