Il Cappellaio è Alice

Music Video

Poster for Il Cappellaio è Alice

The music video is a surreal reimagining of Wonderland, where Alice has transformed into the Mad Hatter. Immersed in a landscape of porcelain patterns and gravity-defying rabbits, the protagonist hosts a solitary tea party under a stormy sky. As the Cheshire Cat watches from a skeletal tree, Alice's graceful movements blur the lines between sanity and madness, revealing the darker, more elegant side of the classic fairy tale. The film is set in a dystopian place in the mind, where the anxieties and contradictions typical of adolescence take shape. Alice identifies with every character in the story, but it is in the Hatter that she finds her true alter ego: a figure marked by mood swings, eccentricity, and a profound reluctance to interact with the outside world. Throughout the video, Alice constantly changes shape and age, sometimes transforming into a fragile and seductive twenty-year-old who performs solitary dances for the web. Trapped in an infinite tea, she is surrounded by floating rabbits that remind her how childhood and naivety are now suspended in the void, ready to suddenly vanish. The broken ceramics become a metaphor for an inner world that fragments all that is fragile to allow her to grow and become a woman. Alice thus traverses this mental space, created specifically to address the conflicts of her age. The soundtrack, composed with Suno V5, uses sounds reminiscent of a music box: it is as if the protagonist were playing at being a "porcelain doll" in an eternal present. While waiting for day to break and for the dark dream to end, Alice scans the horizon, where a glimmer of light heralds her rebirth.
