Prologue: Ashes of Ka Loren

Show

Seventy thousand years before the Wall, before Aldeea, before the Dominion took its final shape, there was a battle that was never meant to be won. On the command bridge of the swarm-carrier Light of Bellona, twelve adepts stand against annihilation. Outnumbered, outmatched, and cut off from retreat, they hold the line long enough to understand the truth of their situation. As the fleet falls and the star Ka Loren becomes the center of a desperate final act, the balance between Aspects breaks and something far older, far more dangerous, answers in its place. In that moment, the boundaries between self, power, and reality begin to dissolve. From that collapse, the first avatars are born. Ashar Deluan becames Ashar Sen'Dorien, the Queen of Chaos.
