The Isolator
Film
Maria is a writer on a mission. To finish her book, she dons "The Isolator," a 1925 invention designed to eliminate all distractions. From cocktail parties to family dinners, the heavy felt helmet and its oxygen tank become her constant companions. While her word count grows, her marriage and social life begin to suffocate. A surreal exploration of the extreme lengths we go to for productivity and the cost of total silence.
