Vacikelei Films

I am an Australian writer and visual storyteller who creates imaginative worlds through story, imagery and emerging technology. My creative work has always been drawn to the spaces between reality and imagination. The places where ordinary characters can experience extraordinary lives. I am particularly interested in small, whimsical stories that carry a deeper emotional meaning beneath the surface. My films are created through a combination of human imagination and AI-assisted tools. I develop the concepts, characters, visual direction and narrative, then use generative imagery and animation to bring those ideas to life. Symbolism is an imperative part of my visual storytelling I use to create worlds of recognition and belonging. I see AI not as the author of the story, but as a creative tool that allows me to visualise worlds that previously existed only in my imagination. Vacikelei Films is the name I have created for this work, with the tagline Stories of Imagination. My aim is simple: to create films that invite people into another world for a few minutes, and perhaps leave them wanting to stay a little longer.
