Founding Collection · Open for Submissions
We are building the home for AI cinema. GenFlix is a curated streaming platform designed for serious creators working at the intersection of artificial intelligence and filmmaking. Submit your work to the Founding Collection and premiere on a dedicated screen built for cinema-grade AI films.
1. How it works
Upload. Submit your master file and assets through GenFlix Studio. We accept MP4 or MOV in horizontal or vertical format, from 15 seconds to 30 minutes. Longer works are considered on a case-by-case basis.
Evaluate. Every submission goes through a quality evaluation. Your film is assessed across cinematic and technical dimensions. This is not an algorithm. A real person watches your work.
Premiere. Films that meet the baseline go live in GenFlix Cinema for global audiences. Films that fall below the baseline remain private in your dashboard so you can refine and resubmit when ready.
We generate a first-draft logline, poster art, and title treatment from your film automatically. You can use these or upload your own through your Studio dashboard.
2. Platform status
GenFlix is live in Public Beta. Our Studio is open for all submissions. The Cinema is curated.
Our target for launch day is the Founding 100: the first 100 AI creators to premiere on GenFlix Cinema. Submissions are rolling with no fixed deadline, but places are limited. There is no per-creator limit. You are welcome to submit as many films as you like.
3. Creator ownership
GenFlix does not claim ownership of your films.
You retain all copyright and intellectual property rights in any video, audio, text, imagery, or related material you upload. Participation in the Founding Collection is non-exclusive. You are free to host your work on other platforms.
By submitting, you grant GenFlix a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable licence to host, store, stream, display, encode, distribute, and deliver your content through the platform. This licence exists solely for the operation, development, distribution, and promotion of GenFlix. It remains in effect for the duration your film is hosted and ends when you request removal.
Full details of this licence and your rights are set out in our Terms & Conditions.
4. Content integrity
GenFlix does not edit, alter, remix, or modify creator films.
Films are presented exactly as uploaded by the creator. No narrative, visual, musical, or editorial modifications are made. The only processing performed relates to standard technical delivery requirements such as encoding, compression, format conversion, security processing, and streaming delivery.
5. AI analysis & platform intelligence
To operate the platform, GenFlix processes creator content using internal and third-party technologies including artificial intelligence systems. This analysis generates signals such as GCI scores, metadata, embeddings, discovery metrics, and audience engagement data. These outputs form part of the GenFlix platform intelligence layer.
This analytical processing is a core component of the GenFlix platform and cannot be opted out of while using the Service.
GenFlix owns all analytics, datasets, signals, and intelligence derived from platform activity. Where shared externally, all datasets are anonymised, de-identified, aggregated, and non-reconstructable to any specific creator or film.
6. Biometric processing
GenFlix does not use creator films to build biometric identification systems.
Where AI cinema includes synthetic personas, characters, or voices, GenFlix may analyse films to generate metadata, discovery signals, and scoring metrics. These processes are used solely to support discovery, analytics, and platform functionality.
As AI cinema evolves, GenFlix may introduce safeguards designed to flag potential likeness or copyright conflicts involving synthetic personas or characters. These systems operate on a best-effort basis only.
Creators remain solely responsible for ensuring that any personas, likenesses, voices, or identities used in their films comply with applicable copyright, trademark, publicity, or personality rights. GenFlix is not liable for the misuse of such elements.
7. Signals vs pixels
GenFlix distinguishes between two categories of data.
Pixels refer to raw creator media: video files, audio tracks, imagery, and film assets. GenFlix will not sell or license raw creator media to third parties for the purpose of training generative media models without explicit permission from the creator.
Signals refer to derived analytics: scoring systems, engagement metrics, behavioural signals, and platform insights. GenFlix may aggregate, anonymise, and commercialise signals derived from platform activity for research, benchmarking, and industry intelligence.
Under no circumstances will these datasets contain personally identifiable information or creator-identifiable information.
8. Film deletion & data retention
Creators may remove their films from the platform at any time.
When a film is removed:
- all copies of the film are removed from active systems
- creator-identifiable metadata associated with the film is removed
- removal propagates through platform infrastructure and backup systems in accordance with normal technical lifecycle processes
However, anonymised analytics derived from platform usage may be retained. This includes signals such as audience engagement metrics, GCI scoring data, and aggregated viewing insights.
These retained signals:
- do not identify the creator
- cannot reconstruct the underlying film
- exist only as anonymised platform intelligence used to improve the GenFlix platform and research AI cinema trends
9. The GenFlix Certification Index
Instead of relying on viral algorithms, the GCI assesses narrative strength, cinematic craft, and technical AI integration. Once fully live, your GCI scorecard will be available in your Studio dashboard, grading your film across dimensions including Visual Fidelity, World Coherence, and Acoustic Integrity.
The GCI is currently being developed in collaboration with our founding creators. Your early input directly shapes how the standard evolves. Scoring will be fully automated. GenFlix retains final editorial discretion over what enters the Cinema.
10. What you get
Founding creators shape the platform from day one.
- Premier placement. Your film goes live on a curated screen built exclusively for high-quality AI cinema. No algorithm lottery, no feed burial.
- Global audience. GenFlix Cinema is open to viewers worldwide. Your work is presented in a professional cinematic context, not a social media scroll.
- Industry discovery. Production companies, agencies, and commissioners browse GenFlix Cinema. We facilitate introductions directly at no cost during the launch phase.
- First in line. Founding creators receive priority access to the Creator Fund, monetisation programmes, and platform features as they roll out.
11. Monetisation
GenFlix is currently a free platform focused on building a curated ecosystem for AI cinema.
If monetisation features are introduced in the future, such as subscriptions, licensing programs, creator grants, or revenue participation models, these will be communicated clearly to creators and governed by a published monetisation framework.
Any revenue participation models will be structured transparently and applied consistently across the platform.
There are no submission fees, hosting fees, or commissions during the beta phase.
12. Creator responsibility
You warrant that all content in your film is original or properly licensed, and that no real person is depicted without their explicit written consent. Films containing deepfakes or synthetic likenesses of real individuals without consent will be removed.
You accept sole responsibility and agree to indemnify GenFlix against any third-party claims, as set out in our Terms & Conditions.
Please ensure you have the rights to all audio and visual elements, including music. We cannot host films with unlicensed material.
