Backyard Galaxy
Film
Backyard Galaxy is a high-concept animated family adventure built on an irresistible cinematic promise: What if your own backyard became the most dangerous universe imaginable? When 8-year-old Peter is accidentally shrunk and trapped inside a glass jar by Tito, a lonely young alien collector, his ordinary home suddenly becomes an epic survival world. The grass is no longer grass. It is a towering jungle. A puddle becomes an ocean. A sprinkler becomes a battlefield. Raindrops fall like asteroids. Insects become monsters. And somewhere above it all, Peter’s fearless toddler sister, Poppy, has wandered into Tito’s spaceship, turning one backyard into the launchpad for total cosmic chaos. To get back to normal size and save his sister, Peter must do the impossible: team up with the very alien who trapped him. Alongside Zib, his goofy pet salamander who now feels like a loyal dragon, Peter and Tito must cross a backyard transformed into a giant living galaxy, full of predators, traps, storms, chases, and emotional discoveries. Every step home becomes a set piece. Every familiar object becomes a threat. Every tiny choice becomes life-or-death. But the true engine of Backyard Galaxy is heart. Peter is not a fearless hero at the start. He is a kid who feels too small, too scared, and too ordinary to protect the people he loves. Tito is not a villain, but a lonely outsider who collects creatures because he does not know how to make friends. Together, they become the unlikeliest duo: a frightened boy and a lost alien learning that courage is not about size, power, or where you come from. It is about who you choose to protect. The film’s core themes are universal and deeply emotional: sibling love, friendship across worlds, empathy for the strange and misunderstood, and the childhood realization that even the smallest person can change everything. It delivers the wish-fulfillment of a backyard adventure with the scale of a space opera. Visually, Backyard Galaxy is designed as a premium animated spectacle: cinematic, funny, emotional, colorful, dangerous, and instantly iconic. The worldbuilding turns everyday childhood spaces into a blockbuster universe. Flowerbeds become alien forests. Garden tools become massive machines. Birds become airborne predators. A broken jar becomes the doorway into a mythic journey. Created by award-winning filmmakers with a cutting-edge AI-assisted animation pipeline and a production-ready approach, Backyard Galaxy is built to be fast-tracked as a fresh, global family franchise: high-concept, emotionally accessible, visually explosive, and instantly watchable. A boy in a jar. A toddler in a spaceship. One backyard bigger than the universe.
