Cinema people can step into.
GenFlix Experiences puts the audience inside the story. They watch. They choose. Those choices have consequences. The experience remembers, so a decision still matters when they come back.
You do this in Creator Studio. Design turns an idea into a plan you can share. Create builds that plan on the Story Map. Publish puts it in front of an audience.
This guide explains the product. It sits alongside the GenFlix Terms & Conditions. If anything here conflicts with those Terms, the Terms apply.
1. What a GenFlix Experience is
A GenFlix Experience is interactive cinema. The audience does not sit outside the story. They enter it.
A choice changes what happens next. The experience carries that decision forward, so a later moment still knows what they did. That is the product: participation, consequence and memory, in one cinematic journey.
You run it from Creator Studio, on the Experiences tab.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Design | Shape the idea and leave with a Blueprint and a one-page summary you can share. |
| Create | Name the experience and build the journey on the Story Map. |
| Your library | Designs in progress, drafts, published experiences and archived work. Reopen a design, continue a draft, or copy a public link. |
2. Design, then Create
Design is the plan. You are not placing scenes yet. You describe the idea, confirm it, choose a direction, and leave with documents a collaborator can read today.
Create is the build. You work on the Story Map, place the films, set the moments where the audience takes part, preview the journey, and publish.
Design first when the idea still needs a shape, or when someone else has to agree before you build. Go straight to Create when you already know the journey. Both start on the Experiences tab.
3. Design in Creator Studio
Open Creator Studio, choose Experiences, then choose Design.
| Step | What it does |
|---|---|
| Brief | Say what you are making and describe the idea. Add a link, a deck or a website when that material belongs in the plan. |
| Understanding | Read the brief back and correct anything that is off before you go further. |
| Existing work | Add what you have already made, when there is something to build on. |
| Direction | Choose the direction you want to take into the Blueprint. |
| Blueprint | Download the Experience Blueprint and the one-page summary. |
When you are ready to build, choose Create draft. That opens a draft experience from the plan, on the Story Map. Or leave the wizard and choose Create on the Experiences tab to start a project yourself.
4. Blueprint and one-page summary
Design finishes with two documents.
| Document | What it does |
|---|---|
| Experience Blueprint | The full plan: the story, how the audience takes part, and how you move it into production. Hand it to a partner, a funder or your team. |
| One-page summary | The same plan, short enough to send when people will not read the full Blueprint. |
Download both in the wizard. They stay available from your Experiences library while the design is open. Delete a design you no longer need. A removed Blueprint cannot be recovered.
5. The Story Map
Choose Create on the Experiences tab. Name the project, choose what you are making, and start blank or from a film already in your library.
The board for the journey
The Story Map is where the experience takes shape. Scenes are the film the audience watches. Choices sit in those scenes. What happens next follows from the choice. Place each film from your Creator Studio library onto its scene.
Preview plays the experience the way an audience will see it, and it does not record their responses. Validate checks the journey before you publish.
6. Publish
When the journey is ready, publish it. The experience receives a stable public address:
/experiences/<your-studio-slug>/<experience-slug>
Older /worlds/... links still open. Share the public link in a campaign, a QR code or a post. On the Embed Make Live tier, copy the embed code from the experience and place the player on a site you control.
7. Make Live
You design, build and preview for free. Make Live is the annual subscription that puts an experience in front of an audience.
| Tier | What it does |
|---|---|
| Publish | One live experience, a shareable public link, and essential audience results in your studio. |
| Embed | Everything in Publish, plus an embed on a site you control, Audience Intelligence, and a clear view of how people moved through the experience. |
| Studio | For brands, agencies and studios running several experiences. Talk to us. |
Checkout is Stripe. The price is on screen before you pay. Promotion codes apply where we offer them. Cancel in the Stripe Customer Portal. The experience stays live until the paid period ends. Republishing during an active Make Live period does not charge again. A lapsed subscription pauses the public page and the embed until you renew. Experiences published before Make Live pricing stay on the Embed tier at no charge.
